Cancellation & Refund Policy (UK & Northern Ireland)

This Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) explains when and how consumers can cancel a subscription and request a refund for purchases made directly from Iconic ProTech LTD (“Iconic VPN”, “we”, “us”, “our”) via www.iconicvpn.com.


1) Who this Policy applies to

This Policy applies to consumer purchases made directly on our website.

Business purchases (including bulk or multi‑device purchases used for commercial purposes) are not covered by the 30‑day money‑back guarantee and are non‑refundable, except where required by law.

If you purchased through a third‑party channel — such as an app store, marketplace, or external payment platform — their own refund rules apply, and they must process your request. See Section 8.


2) 30‑day money‑back guarantee (first purchase only)

You may request a full refund of your first-ever Iconic VPN subscription purchase within 30 days of the transaction date.

We may refuse a refund if:

  • you breached the EULA or AUP;
  • you already received a refund for an Iconic VPN consumer subscription within the past 6 months;
  • the purchase was made through a third‑party platform (see Section 8); or
  • the service has been fully performed before your request in a way that reasonably fulfils what you purchased.

3) 14‑day cooling‑off rights (UK distance contract law)

UK consumers may be entitled to a 14‑day cooling‑off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

Cooling‑off rules apply as follows:

  • If you request immediate access to the VPN and acknowledge that you will lose your 14‑day right to cancel once service begins, you cannot use cooling‑off rights after the VPN has started.
  • If you do not give that consent and do not start using the service, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund.
  • If you start using the VPN without giving the immediate‑start consent, we may deduct a reasonable amount for the service used before cancellation.

These rights apply in addition to our 30‑day guarantee.


4) Your statutory consumer rights (CRA 2015)

Nothing in this Policy affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

If our service is:

  • not as described, or
  • not provided with reasonable care and skill,

you may be entitled to a price reduction or repeat performance. We will help diagnose issues and provide an appropriate remedy.


5) Renewals are non‑refundable

  • Renewal charges (monthly or annual) are not refundable once the renewal period begins, except where required by law.
  • You may disable auto‑renewal at any time from your My Account dashboard. Service continues until the end of the paid period.

6) Plan changes, proration & add‑ons

  • Upgrades: If you upgrade your plan mid‑term, charges or credits are pro‑rata.
  • Downgrades: Refunds are not issued for downgrades; changes apply at the next renewal.
  • Add‑ons: Features such as extra devices or dedicated IP addresses inherit the main subscription’s term and are refunded only where the main subscription qualifies for a refund.

7) How to request a refund (direct purchases only)

To request a refund, email [email protected] using your account email and provide:

  • your order number, purchase date, and last 4 digits of the card or transaction ID;
  • a brief explanation of the reason (optional);
  • any support ticket reference (if applicable).

We may request additional information to prevent fraud.


8) Purchases via app stores, resellers, or external payment platforms

If you purchased Iconic VPN through Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon, Paddle, Mollie, Squareup, NOWPayments, or any external reseller, then that platform’s policies apply.

We cannot issue refunds for these purchases.

We can assist by providing confirmation or technical documentation, but the refund must be processed by the platform you purchased from.


9) Refund method, processing time, currency & tax

  • Refund method: Always to the original payment method, unless impossible (e.g. expired card).
  • Processing time: Once approved, refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days.
  • Currency: Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency; FX differences or bank charges are not covered.
  • VAT: Any VAT charged will be refunded in line with UK VAT law.

10) Fraud, abuse & compliance checks

We may refuse refunds and/or suspend accounts if we reasonably suspect:

  • payment fraud, stolen credentials, or chargeback abuse,
  • repeated refund gaming, or
  • serious AUP/EULA violations, such as network attacks or illegal activity.

We may conduct identity verification if required by law.


11) Account closure & data handling

If you request account closure during a refund process, we will close your account once the refund request is complete.

12) Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The version date above indicates the latest revision.

Significant changes may be highlighted on the website or emailed to users.

UK/Northern Ireland consumers may bring legal proceedings in their local courts.

This Policy works alongside our EULA and Website Terms; if there is a conflict, mandatory UK consumer law prevails.
